Google and other search engines are great for locating resources online. For example, if you needed Adobe Reader to view PDF files you can type that in the search engine and get numerous results. However, you should only download the software from a reputable resource such as Adobe (adobe.com). Downloading and installing software from a non-reputable source is a security risk as you may not be getting the intended software. You may also be downloading an altered version of the software (which may contain malware).

Only download legitimate software from reputable sources. If you don’t know the source, or it looks suspicious, don’t risk it, proceed to the official source such as the vendor’s website instead.

Adobe, the National Cyber Security Alliance, and Speechless Inc. have partnered to bring you a series of security awareness videos. The videos feature a range of cyber security topics and convey best practices that are humorous and engaging.
